A Good Amount of Silence Breathes Fresh Air Into Words That Have Been Long Awaited

Though many in our day and age speak, few recognize the difference between one who opines and one who KNOWS.  In having painted itself as
amongst the stars and above all religious reproach, the scientific community at large has shot itself in the proverbial foot times without number,
and the unfortunate result of this tragedy is that IGNORANT Zeal and Debauched Lack of Decorum now rises with impunity amongst the ranks of all levels of society.

Consider the grating and insulting language that is typified in our day and age by the seasoned politician, or the foolish and nonsensical clamoring of many a news reporter who doesn't understand the absolute basics to the English Language and the nature of sound communication.  The Utter hatred and contempt that has arisen as a result of those who purposefully muddy the waters in order to make themselves sound as if they have plumbed the depths is at a staggering high, as many learned and semi-intelligent individuals have taken flight to new heights in the public arena of ideas.  In having ascended to the skies, many who have not tasted the fresh air of the snowy peaks and heights have in their utter contempt and hatred for those who have flown for some time made it their modus operandi to attempt to shoot and destroy any and all individuals that they are able to find who in any way shape or form pose a threat to their perceived monopoly of influence upon the western lands.  But in having done this, many of these zealots and charlatans have merely exposed themselves for who they are, and it is high time that many of these pigeons that esteem themselves to be eagles be brought down to size and pecked off the backs of those who are ready to ascend to the heights.

Before such can be accomplished, it is however of great necessity to understand the perilous hour at which our society and human civilization is in at this hour.  None are untouched by the great and perilous forms of calamity that beckon and barge into the halls of society, and since such is the case, the need for this hour is great, and the stupidity and rash behavior of the masses is on full display.

The Common TRUST HAS SHATTERED AMONGST ALL NATIONS.  This is a great tragedy, as the great and momentous occasion that humanity has always eyed has been the arrival at something akin to a global utopia that is birthed out of an era of peace and great prosperity unlike anything that the world has yet seen, and yet time and time again the same lessons must always be brought to bear in addressing the cantankerous and absolutely blithering masses which refuse to hear or see reason, and in many cases entire eras or epochs pass with only a few sane individuals arising out of the entire mass of society unspotted by the world's contempt for wisdom and knowledge.

Seeing as such is the case, the great question that America faces today without a doubt, is does anyone in America truly have an interest in the welfare of their neighbor, and more importantly, in the well-being of the nation in which they live?  Is there a common spirit which unites the people and gives them power and force with which to contend against all common enemies both foreign and domestic?  Do the many who claim in our day to be patriots truly have a zeal to establish the weak and strengthen the helpless?  Or do many who are Patriots in our day only brandish their weapons and shout obscenities and foolish insults at the scapegoat that they have always loved to make into their punching bag, the democratic party?  It is a cold and frightening display to see how incensed and utterly contemptible individuals always fail to grasp the fundamental nature of communication and of human decency.

Speech - speech is a powerful thing.  It can be used to wound and to heal, to build up or tear down, to torture or to mock, and the list goes on!  It is a mechanism - a system of syllables that across many different cultures and worlds, has always been the cornerstone upon which society is able to function and to rightly apprehend not only others but itself.  Without such a cornerstone, all societies are bound to be destroyed.  Such linguistic acuityis something that has not been appreciated nor respected and revered, and as such the world has been sent a judgment that it has yet to recover from in days of old just as when the Lord scattered the nations after having seen them attempting to build the tower of Babel, and in the days since the death of God, the Earth has continued this time honored tradition with never ending zeal in memory of her lost husband.

Those who think themselves to be worthy of government in our day have absolutely despised such a story, and the 'scientific' community has made it's loud and raucous voice heard to such a degree that nails on the chalkboard of existence couldn't drown out the caucaphony of windbags who make their pretentious and 'learned' voices heard amongst the masses as if their entire existence is to be the prognosticator and governor of all realms of thought that exist in this world in which we live.  Such insolence is a common and not unheard of matter, and in so doing has lead many to a host of different raucous and uncouth practices of belching out loud and and unsavory opinions and even scientific findings to the masses without any hint of reverence or nuance. This lackluster tradition has for many eons lead humanity through the rigamoral of having been lead along like cattle before the powers which govern the world, and has lead mankind down many a treacherous and terrible labryinthine existence, and in the conceited and comfortable auspices of a hard-earned and hard-fought set of battles to establish and promote/defend the interests of a nation such as this, the
many in our day have belittled and belabored themselves and others with wasting words and unhospitable contempt for any who actually have an interest and a design to make a difference in the world, for all that can be heard in the streets today is unoriginal and uninspired in its distaste for original thought.

Seeing as plagiarism and identity theft have skyrocketed especially amongst many individuals in my own generation, it has become apparent to me that if one is to call themselves an American that it is time that that desire be put to the test - do you truly wish to be an American?  Or do you wish to be a free-riding individual who isn't willing to face the darkness that is currently gathering against this land in its most bleak and haunting form?  Are you all content to sit on the side lines and only make one or two guardians responsible to lookout for your welfare?  Or are you willing to sit down and count the cost of living in this land and of partaking in its bounty?  America is a privilege - NOT A RIGHT.  RIGHTS ONLY EXIST WHEN THEY ARE GIVEN TO YOU BY AN AUTHORITY THAT EXISTS ABOVE YOU AND ABOVE ALL OF MANKIND AND AMERICA HAS PLAYED THE HARLOT WITH THE GOD THAT IT CLAIMS TO SERVE - NATURE'S GOD.

SO AMERICA, I would put this question to you - if God is Dead, why do you still claim to serve him?  And if YOU CLAIM TO SERVE HIM and that you are a nation that is underneath the constraining and everwise influence of his providence, then why do you spurn him and despise him with every fiber of your being?  JUST AS A WOMAN WHO LEAVES HER HUSBAND IS NO LONGER THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THAT MAN UPON HAVING SERVED HER A DIVORCE, IS NATURE'S GOD RESPONSIBLE FOR A LAND THAT REJECTS AND SPITS UPON HIS REMEMBRANCE AT EVERY TURN?

Mankind is still like a little child that just can't stop itself from wanting to go to the stove to see what it is like to put their hand on the hot stove top even though their hand will continue to burn and lose all feeling.  The real question that arises from such a pathetic and terrible set of circumstances is this - when will humanity stop playing the child and start recognizing what it is to be MEN AND WOMEN.  BEINGS OF STATURE AND OF GRANDEUR.  BEINGS OF CAPABILITY AND INSIGHT, DEPTH, PATHOS, ETHOS, INTUITION, a FASTIDIOUS AND INTELLIGIBLE SPIRIT.  WHEN OH WHEN WILL SUCH A DAWN ARISE????

ZARATHUSTRA’S PROLOGUE.

1.

When Zarathustra was thirty years old, he left his home and the lake of his home, and went into the mountains. There he enjoyed his spirit and solitude, and for ten years did not weary of it. But at last his heart changed,—and rising one morning with the rosy dawn, he went before the sun, and spake thus unto it:

Thou great star! What would be thy happiness if thou hadst not those for whom thou shinest!

For ten years hast thou climbed hither unto my cave: thou wouldst have wearied of thy light and of the journey, had it not been for me, mine eagle, and my serpent.

But we awaited thee every morning, took from thee thine overflow and blessed thee for it.

Lo! I am weary of my wisdom, like the bee that hath gathered too much honey; I need hands outstretched to take it.

I would fain bestow and distribute, until the wise have once more become joyous in their folly, and the poor happy in their riches.

Therefore must I descend into the deep: as thou doest in the evening, when thou goest behind the sea, and givest light also to the nether-world, thou exuberant star!

Like thee must I GO DOWN, as men say, to whom I shall descend.

Bless me, then, thou tranquil eye, that canst behold even the greatest happiness without envy!

Bless the cup that is about to overflow, that the water may flow golden out of it, and carry everywhere the reflection of thy bliss!

Lo! This cup is again going to empty itself, and Zarathustra is again going to be a man.

Thus began Zarathustra’s down-going.

It should be noted that this star and this life giving abundance is to be found not merely amongst the mountains of intellectual and philosophical zeal but in the hands of many a dark and twisted path of fate that is only to be navigated by thosee who are not inclined to be the faint of heart, and instead speaks of better things and yields forth a sweetness that should be acceptable to all who desire peace and security for themselves and their own kind, and in such a considerable hour the story of Prince Caspian sounds a resounding likeness to what is currently at play in America today, as he was chased and plotted against by the wicked man who killed his father and who drove the Dionysian Narnians into the forests of seclusion and secrecy who then updended the telemarine kingdom and birthed a tyranny in its midst employing all of the castle walls of its social institutions to breathe contempt upon the masses of ignorant and unlearned people whom he oversaw.  The weightiness of this anecdote I would hope might serve to illuminate atleast in part the desire that I see myself having for those who are suffering under the hands of the despotic and cruel 'philosophers' and 'preachers' of our day who sell poison in the streets but preach themselves to be of the utmost zeal in being arbitors of compassion and self-improvement, for it is the people who sadly once again in this day in which we live are being fleeced for every penny that they are worth.  Such sickens the heearts of the righteous, and in such a consideration a perilous hour arises not only for myself but for those who have lived their lives as outcasts and as those who dwell in the wilderness outside of the societal institutions which prevail in our land in a like manner as is depicted in the following clip:

THIS ZARATHUSTRA - A BEING WHO MUST BECOME A MAN is someone who Has MARRIED THE EARTH.  And in having married her, he is faithful to her and seeks to tend to her wounds, and like a captain of a momentous ship is tasked with the Herculean responsibility and duty to attend to her as a faithful husband.  In such a momentous and stunning position, it is of great importance for this man to beware of the many wicked and deviant souls who would love nothing more than to stir up trouble and to incite rebellion and mutiny aboard his ship, and since such is the case, the wisdom of Adeimantus takes on this terrible plight with a full bore of insight and accurate display of jurisprudence:

And Adeimantus replied: No one would be able to contradict the things you’ve said, Socrates, but on each occasion that you say them, your hearers are affected in some such way as this. They think that, because they’re inexperienced in asking and answering questions, they’re led astray a little bit by the argument at every question and that, when these little bits are added together at the end of the discussion, great is their fall, as the opposite of what they said at the outset comes to light. Just as inexperienced checkers players are trapped by the experts in the end and can’t make a c move, so they too are trapped in the end and have nothing to say in this different kind of checkers, which is played not with disks but with words. Yet the truth isn’t affected by this outcome. I say this with a view to the present case, for someone might well say now that he’s unable to oppose you as you ask each of your questions, yet he sees that of all those who take up philosophy—not those who merely dabble in it while still young 3. Momus is a personification of blame or censure. Republic VI 1111 in order to complete their upbringing and then drop it, but those who continue in it for a longer time—the greatest number become cranks, not to say completely vicious, while those who seem completely decent are rendered useless to the city because of the studies you recommend. When I’d heard him out, I said: Do you think that what these people say is false? I don’t know, but I’d be glad to hear what you think. You’d hear that they seem to me to speak the truth. How, then, can it be true to say that there will be no end to evils in our cities until philosophers—people we agree to be useless—rule in them? The question you ask needs to be answered by means of an image or simile. And you, of course, aren’t used to speaking in similes! So! Are you making fun of me now that you’ve landed me with a claim that’s so hard to establish? In any case, listen to my simile, and you’ll appreciate all the more how greedy for images I am. What the most decent people experience in relation to their city is so hard to bear that there’s no other single experience like it. Hence to fnd an image of it and a defense for them, I must construct it from many sources, just as painters paint goat-stags by combining the features of diferent things. Imagine, then, that something like the following happens on a ship or on many ships. The shipowner is bigger and stronger than everyone else on board, but he’s hard of hearing, a bit short-sighted, and his knowledge of seafaring is equally defcient. The sailors are quarreling with one another about steering the ship, each of them thinking that he should be the captain, even though he’s never learned the art of navigation, cannot point to anyone who taught it to him, or to a time when he learned it. Indeed, they claim that it isn’t teachable and are ready to cut to pieces anyone who says that it is. They’re always crowding around the shipowner, begging him and doing everything possible to get him to turn the rudder over to them. And sometimes, if they don’t succeed in persuading him, they execute the ones who do succeed or throw them overboard, and then, having stupefed their noble shipowner with drugs, wine, or in some other way, they rule the ship, using up what’s in it and sailing while drinking and feasting, in the way that people like that are prone to do. Moreover, they call the person who is clever at persuading or forcing the shipowner to let them rule a “navigator,” a “captain,” and “one who knows ships,” and dismiss anyone else as useless. They don’t understand that a true captain must pay atention to the seasons of the year, the sky, the stars, the winds, and all that pertains to his craf, if he’s really to be the ruler of a ship. And they don’t believe there is any craf that would enable him to determine how he should steer the ship, whether the others want him to or not, or any possibility of mastering this alleged craf or of practicing it at the same time as the craf of navigation. Don’t you think that the true captain will be called a real stargazer, a babbler, and a good-for-nothing by those who sail in ships governed in that way, in which such things happen? d e 488 b c d e 489 I certainly do. I don’t think that you need to examine the simile in detail to see that the ships resemble cities and their atitude to the true philosophers, but you already understand what I mean. Indeed, I do. Then frst tell this simile to anyone who wonders why philosophers aren’t honored in the cities, and try to persuade him that there would be far more cause for wonder if they were honored. I will tell him. Next tell him that what he says is true, that the most decent among the philosophers are useless to the majority. Tell him not to blame those decent people for this but the ones who don’t make use of them. It isn’t natural for the captain to beg the sailors to be ruled by him nor for the wise to knock at the doors of the rich—the man who came up with that wisecrack made a mistake. The natural thing is for the sick person, rich or poor, to knock at the doctor’s door, and for anyone who needs to be ruled to knock at the door of the one who can rule him. It isn’t for the ruler, if he’s truly any use, to beg the others to accept his rule. Tell him that he’ll make no mistake in likening those who rule in our cities at present to the sailors we mentioned just now, and those who are called useless stargazers to the true captains. That’s absolutely right. Therefore, it isn’t easy for the best ways of life to be highly esteemed by people who, as in these circumstances, follow the opposite ways. By far the greatest and most serious slander on philosophy, however, results from those who profess to follow the philosophic way of life. I mean those of whom the prosecutor of philosophy declared that the greatest number are completely vicious and the most decent useless. And I admited that what he said was true, didn’t I? Yes. And haven’t we explained why the decent ones are useless? Yes, indeed. Then, do you next want us to discuss why it’s inevitable that the greater number are vicious and to try to show, if we can, that philosophy isn’t responsible for this either? Certainly. Then, let’s begin our dialogue by reminding ourselves of the point at which we began to discuss the nature that someone must have if he is to become a fne and good person. First of all, if you remember, he had to be guided by the truth and always pursue it in every way, or else he’d really be a boaster, with no share at all in true philosophy. That’s what was said. And isn’t this view completely contrary to the opinions currently held about him? It certainly is. Then, won’t it be reasonable for us to plead in his defense that it is the nature of the real lover of learning to struggle toward what is, not to 1112 Adeimantus/Socrates b c d e 490 Republic VI 1113 remain with any of the many things that are believed to be, that, as he moves on, he neither loses nor lessens his erotic love until he grasps the b being of each nature itself with the part of his soul that is fitted to grasp it, because of its kinship with it, and that, once getting near what really is and having intercourse with it and having begotten understanding and truth, he knows, truly lives, is nourished, and—at that point, but not before—is relieved from the pains of giving birth? That is the most reasonable defense possible. Well, then, will such a person have any part in the love of falsehood, or will he entirely hate it? He’ll hate it. c And if truth led the way, we’d never say, I suppose, that a chorus of evils could ever follow in its train. How could it? But rather a healthy and just character, with moderation following it. That’s right. What need is there, then, to marshal all over again from the beginning the members of the philosophic nature’s chorus in their inevitable array? Remember that courage, high-mindedness, ease in learning, and a good memory all belong to it. Then you objected, saying that anyone would be compelled to agree with what we said, but that, if he abandoned the d argument and looked at the very people the argument is about, he’d say that some of them were useless, while the majority had every kind of vice. So we examined the reason for this slander and have now arrived at the point of explaining why the majority of them are bad. And it’s for this reason that we’ve again taken up the nature of the true philosophers and defined what it necessarily has to be. That’s true. e We must now look at the ways in which this nature is corrupted, how it’s destroyed in many people, while a small number (the ones that are called useless rather than bad) escape. After that, we must look in turn at the natures of the souls that imitate the philosophic nature and establish themselves in its pursuits, so as to see what the people are like who thereby 491 arrive at pursuits they are unworthy of and that is beyond them and who, because they often strike false notes, bring upon philosophy the reputation that you said it has with everyone everywhere.

This hour is pregnant with possibility, and like a woman in labor, the souls of the righteous feed and prepare themselves to suffer the necessary pains to bring forth
the wisdom and the might necessary to attend to the forms of wisdom which are so desperately needed at this hour - the question that then arises for those who hurry them along and treat them as if they are impudent children who are incapable of reason or a decent thought is this - WHAT FOOLS WOULD EVER THINK IT WISE TO EXPECT A PREGNANT WOMAN TO BE NOT ONLY RESPONSIBLE BUT REQUIRED TO DEFEND AND GUARD AN ENTIRE VILLAGE ALONE WHILE ALSO CHIDING HER FOR HER UNSIGHTLY APPEARANCE AND LACK OF PHYSICAL PROWESS???? AND YET THIS SOCIETY DOES NOTHING BUT SPIT ON, MOCK, AND BELITTLE THE FACES OF THOSE WHO SIT BEFORE WISDOM TO BRING FORTH HER CHILDREN INTO THE LIGHT OF DAY AS IF THEY ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH - AND EVEN THE WOMEN OF THIS DAY SET THEMSELVES AGAINST HER CHILDREN AND WOULD SEEK BY DUBIOUS MEANS TO ENSNARE THE ONE THEY THINK TO BE ABOVE ALL ELSE IN SIDING WITH THEM AGAINST SUCH A BIRTH, AND IN DOING SO TEMPT THE FATES BY SEEKING TO SNARE SUCH A ONE IN EITHER SHEER OUTRAGE AND DERISION OF MANKIND, OR AGAINST ONE"S OWN KIND:

A MAN WHO ONCE KNEW OF SUCH WISDOM WHO WAS THE LAST SPARTAN TO WALK THIS EARTH WITH UNQUENCHABLE ZEAL AND ZEST FOR LIFE WROTE A BOOK WHICH CONVEYS THE GREAT SOLEMNITY OF THIS TASK, and THAT CONVEYS TO THE ONE TO WHOM IT IS ADDRESSED THE NATURE OF HIS GOVERNANCE IN THIS RESPECT:

Everything to come was already in images: to find their soul, the ancients went into the desert. This is an image. The ancients lived their symbols, since the world had not yet become real for them. Thus they went into the solitude of the desert to teach us that the place of the soul is a lonely desert. There they found the abundance of visions, the fruits of the desert, the wondrous flowers of the soul. Think diligently about the images that the ancients have left behind. They show the way of what is to come. Look back at the collapse of empires, of growth and death, of the desert and monasteries, they are the images of what is to come.

Everything has been foretold. But who knows how to interpret it? When you say that the place of the soul is not, then it is not. But if you say that it is, then it is. Notice what the ancients said in images: the word is a creative act. The ancients said: in the beginning was the Word. Consider this and think upon it. The words that oscillate between nonsense and supreme meaning are the oldest and truest.
