What Will It Profit A Man if He Gain the Whole World, and Lose His Soul?

The Value of One's Life apart from the Many things one chooses to partake in in life is of the greatest consequence - for if we choose to live without consideration of such significance, then we are no better than the mindless creatures of the world who plod around the globe only looking for food, drink, and a mate.  It is due to this unquestionably important consideration that the way in which we conduct ourselves as men wand women becomes all the more significant, especially when considering the great consequences of what can happen if one's life does not in fact end at your final breath in this life here on this world.

This consideration is what then proceeds to lead one of a diligent mind and spirit to then seek to establish the various grounds of reason and understanding which would enable an individual to rightly arrive at a proper conclusion of how best to spend one's time here in this world despite the many possibilities of what may come after.  For this consideration, many different ideas, philosophies, and religions offer insight that if one were to closely analyze, could potentially take many lifetimes to fully grasp and then enjoin, and yet not all of these ideas are necessarily worth one's attention or time.  If one values the countless insights of generations of mankind which have traversed this world before us, then it proves to be a needful exercise to review and learn about the many different ideas and notions of societies which have gone on before us, for this world in its current state is not all that it is cracked up to be.  A vast majority of the masses of men and women in our day have over-valuations of their own intellectual prowess and intelligence, and the stunning lack of grammatical and rhetorical ability which has subsumed the West in our day is without question a telltale sign of this terrible predicament and shows forth how our society is pre-eminently caught up with the flashy and exotic world of appearances while it has completely disregarded the world of ideas and forms.

This is not an unexpected blunder, for nominalism reigns supreme in this age in which we live, and will continue to for many years as long as society is governed and maintained by a haphazard contempt and careless arrogance that would promote and embolden the festering pscyhic contents of mankind in its terrible state and leave it in a haphazard and careless condition void of the beautifying and powerful ways in which it could become so much more than what it is right now.  WIth that being said, if one wishes to be able to improve upon any condition within a society, it becomes an invaluable necessity for one to understand the place that one should have in the midst of that society in order to be confident of the many different ways in which that society ought to be able to function.

Those who then take an interest in the place and function that they now have within a societal context are now tasked with numerous questions.  One might first be inclined to ask - what forms of Being and of Becoming Should an Individual Seek to Partake in?  How should one cultivate one's own interests as opposed to the interests of the community of which they are a part?  How should one cultivate one's capacity for love as opposed to one's capacity for hatred?  What liberties attend a given community, and what responsibilities attend that same community?  Is it a reasonable thing for an individual to maintain their ways in the midst of a society that would impute to them all of their own insufficiency?  Is it a reasonable and practical thing for a society to demand that all of its members be the same copy, cut, and paste of a particular type of individual?  Should society be comprised only of clones, or should it be comprised of people who have the capacity in and of themselves to think for themselves and to be able to govern their own lives in a measure beyond that of what others might think or say?

Many different texts and religious philosophies answer these questions, and as I create more content for this website, I intend to dive into these various forms of nuance in much greater detail, as such investigation is necessary in order to lay bare the many different halls of Tartarus and in order to provide those who find themselves in a position of incredulity and confusion the proper tools with which they might extricate themselves from the various forms of misapprehension that they have arrived at due to these trying circumstances.
